It's a game about stacking cans.

You'd have a small amount of cans and the ability to stack them, but somehow stacking those few cans gets boring pretty quick. You need more cans.

You venture out into a large wasteland to scavenge. This part of the game takes place from a first-person perspective, but your only controls are to move, and to pick up and place cans. Cans are located in buildings, but to enter any of the buildings you'd need to jump up and climb through a window.

You can't jump.

Using your small collection of cans, you need to build staircases, bridges, and other contraptions to enter buildings and collect more cans so you can build pathways to reach other buildings so you can collect even more cans. Your end goal would be to return home with as many cans as possible and stack them all up. The only way to "finish" the game is to decide if you're personally satisfied with your stack via a button prompt, at which point a picture of your stack is taken and added to a "collaboration" stack, which is essentially every submitted image placed on top of one another to form a gigantic stack of cans. Once your stack has been submitted to the collaboration stack, you can never add to it again.
