Extra Protein follows a player character who is employed by MegaBurger, the epitome of the ruthless fast food giants around the world. The job pays poorly, doesn't guarantee many hours, your bosses are cruel and your customers no better. As such, you have taken it upon yourself to inject some action into your life, specifically by injecting insects, toenails and various other nasties into the burgers of your unsuspecting customers. The game works in rounds, in each round you receive a series of orders and will gain points for each nasty item that goes in an order. Larger items will earn you a larger points bonus, but are also harder to disguise (a disembodied rat is harder to hide than a simple booger). After each round, the player is sent into the restaurant and can see the results of their handiwork. If the customer complains, the player doesn't gain the score bonus on that item and gets closer to being discovered by their workplace. If the customer doesn't notice the nasty and likes their meal, the score bonus doubles. The game is lost when the player is discovered for their infractions.
