Foot Soldier is game exactly as it sounds: you are a foot soldier. No more of this playing the hero, giving grand speeches when you wouldn't think of these speeches yourself, no more prancing around in front of the battle lines, mysteriously avoiding every arrow the enemy looses before you charge. No, you are a mere foot soldier in the Roman army, pushing to take down the indomitable Gauls. Both pompous and inspiring commander will attempt to rally you and your allies to fight and your platoon commanders will bark orders as the fight progresses, but can you pay attention in the chaos of battle, or will you fail and be the weak link and cause the lines to collapse?

You will engage in epic scale battles with nothing but your basic equipment. Strike from the safety of the back ranks as a Roman Archer, but beware enemy strikes from the shadows. Charge headlong into the enemy flanks upon the strong back of a horse with spear and sword as a Cavalryman or advance steadfast into the enemy ranks behind a shield wall, shoulder to shoulder with your fellow legionnaires. All of this you will see from a first person perspective.
