Overview:
Be the Ball is a kick Ball game with a twist. One player controls the Ball itself.
If you are the Ball you must use your controls to dodge and evade the teams of Chasers attempting to kick you into their goal.
Chasers can be up to 4 players a team where the objective is to chase down the Ball and send it to the opposing team's goal.
Each side can pick up power-ups across the arena. If you are a Chaser, you can gain speed upgrades as well as extend the control your kick has over the Ball and how far it goes.
If you are the Ball, then you can gain speed boosts along with dodge move abilities to help evade the Chasers.
Scoring and determining the winner:
Both Chaser teams compete against each other to get the most goals in the match time. The Ball competes against both Chaser teams to prevent them from getting a goal.
If the Chaser scores a goal this counts as a life taken away from the Ball Player. The Chaser team with the most points wins. The Ball player wins by evading the teams capture and not losing all their lives.
Possible outcomes:
Outcome 1: Team1: 1, Team2: 0, Ball player 0 lives = Team1 the winner
Outcome 2: Team1: 1, Team2: 0, Ball player 1 or more lives = 2:00 final decider (Team1 vs Ball)
Outcome 3: Team1: 1, Team2: 1, Ball player 1 or more lives = 2:00 final decider (Both teams vs Ball)
Outcome 4: Team1: 1, Team2: 1, Ball player 0 lives = Draw
Outcome 5: Team1: 0, Team2: 0 = Ball player winner
In the event of Outcome 2, Chaser Team 1 will compete in a 2:00 time trial to get the ball into a single goal. If they succeed they are the winner, if the ball evades them form 2:00 they are the winner.
In the event of Outcome 3, both Chaser teams and Ball Player will go head to head in a final 2:00 decider. Whichever Chaser team scores the single goal in that time will be the winner. If the Ball Player evades the Chasers in that time, then they are determined the winner.
