Game overview:
In Alpha the player has the ability to control large herds of rabid animals and infected humans telepathically and uses them to fight their enemies.
Alpha is a first person shooter where the player takes the role of Chris Deltoro, a convicted murderer who is set free and must make his way to Washington DC and there save the country from the clutches of a global pandemic called the Omega Virus.
Deltoro's primary power involves using the Alpha to control animals and humans infected by the Omega Virus. In addition to controlling herds of creatures, the Alpha allows for players to take full control of one animal allowing them to infiltrate behind enemy lines. This ability becomes useful for players to sneak passed enemies or scout areas where the player's visibility is limited.
The Alpha
The Alpha is a secret collective conscious entity created by the CIA. It works by infecting a human host granting them the ability to control large amounts of organisms telepathically. The plan was to infect the President of the United States to which he could control the rest of the country's population(with the Omega Virus). The President discovers this virus from an ex-CIA operative who warns him about the planned attack and tells him to breakout Chris Deltoro who is the perfect candidate to host the Alpha.
The Omega Virus
The Omega Virus Works in conjunction with the Alpha, infecting the host creature and allows for whoever processes the Alpha to control the creatures. The CIA released the virus through drug cartels and in a matter of months humans and animals became infected by the virus.
Chris Deltoro
A former animal trainer who was convicted of murdering a high ranking drug lord who the CIA secretly wanted to use to traffic forms of the Omega Virus. Deltoro was meant to be sentenced to death by lethal injection but is secretly injected with the stolen Alpha formula and uses his powers to control the guard dogs to unlock their cells and kill the guards. Chris escapes and is met by the ex-CIA operative who tells him that the CIA has unleashed the Omega Virus on the human race and that he has the power to control creatures affected by the virus. Using his new skills and knowledge on wild animals, Chris travels across the United States towards Washington to destroy the leaders of the CIA and put an end to the Omega Virus.
