The aim of the game in combo simulator is to rack up the biggest combo possible by spamming buttons for as long as they are on screen. For example, a left arrow key may drift across the screen from left to right, prompting the player to press the button on their keyboard as many times as they possibly can while this key is on the screen. As the player's combo becomes larger, more keys will show up on the screen at the same time resulting in a much more difficult time for the player. Any time the player presses a button that is not on the screen, they will lose one of their 5 lives. This can be earned back by adding another 100 hits to their combo, meaning that one small mistake will not completely ruin what they have done. Throughout the game the colour of the background will change, along with the colour of the keys. This also increases the difficulty, as keys could be a very similar colour to the background. Keys that only show up when pressing another key would also come in to effect after the player has proven themselves by reaching a combo of 500 hits.
