Description:
Frostbound is a Nordic-themed souls-like game steeped in Norse mythology and folklore. Players take on the role of a Duskborn, a mortal cursed with the power of the dying gods, in a realm where the gods' abandonment has plunged the world into eternal darkness. The story revolves around uncovering the truth behind Ragnarok’s incomplete cycle and deciding whether to usher in a new dawn or let the frost claim the world.

Set in the realm of Nýrvangar, a liminal space between life and death where the remnants of Asgard and Midgard overlap, the player must ascend the World Tree (Yggdrasil) to confront the fractured remains of the gods. Along the way, they unravel the stories of mortal clans left to fend for themselves, creatures of chaos unleashed by the void, and ancient prophecies foretelling either salvation or doom.

The game world is a harsh and unforgiving land where frost chokes the rivers, ash covers the forests, and colossal ruins of godly battles loom in the background. Areas are inspired by Nordic geography and myth, such as glacial fjords, cursed forests, and crumbling godly fortresses.
