kind of folding back to the tutorial after starting the empty project. there are some notes worth taking on some of the structure that exists there, and i'd also like to go looking for some other examples of projects that might give me an early jump start on better organization.

but overall today was a lot of shopping and trying to figure out how to start debugging a broken laptop. it almost feels relieving, taking a moment to sort out all of my old and worn electronics, but this week also just has an air of stress to it.
