a lot of narrative work, on the part of the game that the player actually gets to see for once.

i do want to introduce a sort of "sidekick" or "partner" character in the game, someone who can act a little like a speaker on your behalf, and someone who is trying to figure out about as much about the world as you are. i almost made this character one of the other native species to the planet instead of a robot, but i think i've decided against that. she's going to be a bubbly and curious character with some doubts about the system she's being forced to work in, like many of the robots.

this helps me both because i want someone relatable and narratively interesting for the player to meet early on, and because it gives me a nicer flow for explaining early tutorial systems and lore. hopefully she acts as a sort of incentive to explore some dialogue paths and understand what kind of story Satellite is trying to tell.
