Just some thing, seeing how far I can get with this new laptop
so far so good, even made a tagging program for myself to speed it up a bit
It's not much, but the birds are still here, also something I wanted to test in the process; just copy/pasted over from a different file really
Title doesn't mean much, just took the generated title from the bird project and made it something else
Made this on the bus ride to a research center to investigate various neurodivergencies.
That's not important, what's important is that this was made in Gadget, for the first time in a long time. Maybe not an amazing song, but it's still pleasant.

@Ashtom
I think we can all agree that that's very spot on. Hard to say how it compares to 8-bit Twin Peaks, because of those two, only one of those we've engaged with.
@Nik Novo
Good to know, and perhaps we should do it too. See how it works for us.
I was coding at work while listening to this and it fit perfectly :D The combination of the laid back vibes and the chippy-ness (to call it that) were the perfect brain stimulation
Addendum: Your track really gives me a Disasterpeace's Fez soundtrack vibe.
@sleepunit I definitely wanted to go for a more laid back vibe, so I can see where you're going with that
honestly, I might just keep this up all year, really keeping it down tempo
@Ashtom it is, in fact, doing that
I used 2 D8s and used the difference to pick the next note on C mixolydian with some tweaks in the rests to make it a little easier to get through
maybe D8 is a bit much
might just be my brain, but it's giving me strong angelo badalamenti vibes. like if you did a 16 bit twin peaks game, this could 100% be in it.
I've got a soft spot for noise-ish, chippy drums too.
super pretty
Hey Devieus!
I'm glad to see you here, it's been a while for me.
Very peaceful vibe with a robust body (that square is strong). And then the glitchy percussions to add an inevitable rhythm. I'm a bit perplexed by the melody, I find it hard to follow; is it procedurally walking on a predefined scale?
In any case, it sounds great!
The birds are friendly, for sure!
