i started to detail the identity of some damage types, since it's reasonable for weapons to correlate with their damage type (a lance deals piercing, a hammer deals crushing), but for those damage types to also encourage a specific type of play style so players who find themselves enjoying a type of weapon may enjoy another weapon with the same damage type (you enjoy lances, a sniper rifle also happens to be piercing... what would the parallels be?)
