before the start of Satellite, there are a number of world events i wanted to have planned out to set the stage for other things that happen on the planet.

most of what i have in mind right now have to do with how the robots interact during first contact and their initial attempts to solve several problems at once, the restoration of their ship, the start of an organized colony of robots, attention from malicious parties, the science behind the weird issues the planet is quickly developing.... and the task the robots were given in the first place, which quickly becomes swamped in everything else.

i actually looked at the plot of another game that is pretty near-and-dear to me, after talking about it with some friends this morning. i had to recall a bunch of stuff that i've gradually forgotten over the years, and it makes me realize how much of it must have subconsciously settled into my ideas for Satellite. hm
