Started over from scratch. Still a lot of work to do but I think it's a significant improvement on the previous version. Illustrator and I are starting to get along and I think I've managed to figure out the geometry problems that had been getting in my way.
Nothing very exciting. Both of these were tests for me to see how much I remember about the fundamentals.
I absolutely need to get in the habit of daily practice and I'm really frustrated with myself for putting it off all summer. :(
Take 2 and trying a new style. idk how I feel about it, so I guess I'll sleep on it.
Can't upload anything tomorrow due to studying but hope to finish these up on Wednesday.
Meant to do something, uh, "more different" but couldn't think of anything. For use with my wip star chart I still need to finish for my silly worldbuilding atlas thing.
Finished drawing most coastlines and started shaping them. Threw in an actual-size cut of the continent from the original version to get a sense of how much bigger the upscaled version is. Craters next maybe idk
Okay, at first glance it might not look much different than yesterday and the screenshot doesn't really show it that well, but due to limitations I was facing with my original file size I resized the image 1000% and I'm currently redrawing each coastline by hand. About halfway there.
Now that summer is pretty much here I want to get back into the habit of making things again. Revisited a map I made back in January.

Still working on the math and trying to come up with a decent way to present everything. Photoshop apparently hates me now and Illustrator never loved me. :(
includes laughable placeholder names and a terrible font
A map of a fictional world's northern celestial hemisphere, inspired by an old flag I made for its star system.
Still a lot to do, but I have to take care of all of the silly little worldbuilding logistics and orbital mechanics before I can really continue. -_-
