Streak Club is a place for hosting and participating in creative streaks.
This game is a linear, 3rd person, story-driven game with elements of exploration, combat and platforming. It is set during the beginning of WW1 in an alternate timeline, triggered by the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand. The protagonist and player is the Archduke's 16yr old son, Otto, who is now the sole remaining heir to the Austro-Hungarian empire. He must flee the rebels who assassinated his father in order to spark war. Your actions and choices will shape the outcome of the War depending on who you choose to align yourself with in order to reclaim the throne and your birthright. As there are multiple endings, the game is branching narrative. Throughout the game Otto will have flash-backs to his time living in the palace. You will have to utilise all of your acquired skills (marksmanship, stealth etc.) in order to survive being hunted.

It is a general consensus that all birds are evil. We know this. It is fact.
In this game, you will play as a bird.
It is your mission to empty your bird-sized bowels onto the heads of as many innocent members of the public as you can. Bonus points will be earned for landing one on a politician or popular television personality! But be careful, you only have a finite number of shots. Success will take you to the next level where you will be able to unlock new locations along with new birds to add variety and endless replayability to this marvelous future GOTY AAA title. Provides hours of entertainment for the whole family
Disclaimer: I don't hate birds. Birds are cool.
"And you may find yourself
Living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself
In another part of the world
And you may find yourself
Behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house
With a beautiful wife
And you may ask yourself, well
How did I get here?
And you may ask yourself
How do I work this?
And you may ask yourself
Where is that large automobile?
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful house!
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful wife!"
- Talking Heads, Once in a Lifetime
Genre: Orwellian, sci-fi
John Smith leads an ordinary life. He gets up early in the morning. Says goodbye to his wife and children. Goes to work for his 8 hour shift. Comes home. Goes to sleep. Rinse, repeat.
But on one particular day he chooses not to take his medication. Medication for an incurable terminal disease which John has been told to have had since birth. The next day upon doing so, he does not recognise his wife. He does not recognise his children. He does not recognise the world around him.
For what he sees is the world as it truly is. A world where people are half-machine; bionic corporate slaves.
Gameplay: Gameplay is story centric as you explore and discover more about the foreign, twisted world around you. You may choose whether to use combat or stealth (similar to Deus Ex) to allow for a moral system. Therefore you may choose to kill or spare enemies, making it possible to finish the entire game without harming anyone.
Once a week you and your boyfriend visit the pet store to look at the various animals, notably the dogs, as unfortunately you are currently unable to adopt one #studentlyf
Desperate for a dog, your boyfriend has begun the naughty habit of smuggling them out of the store and consequently getting himself arrested on multiple occasions. The shopkeepers have begun to ban him from entering stores so he has had to use assorted disguises to bypass their security. You must prevent him from taking any more of the poor animals. If he makes a run for it with a puppy and manages to cross the threshold of the store, then you will automatically fail the game. If you catch him with a puppy then you must take it off him and return it to its appropriate enclosure. You will also have to shake off any suspicious shop assistants.
Have you ever been in a country with a native language that is unfamiliar to you?
Then you will know the anxiety-filled struggle of miscommunication, constantly petrified that you will say something wrong, culturally insensitive or offensive like "My hovercraft is full of eels" (Monty Python reference)…
Our protagonist, whom we shall refer to as Steve, exchanged some rather unsavoury words towards his inept travel agent that accidentally booked him on a flight to Buzzkillastan (wherever the heck that is). To get revenge on Steve the naughty travel agent has supplied him with a dodgy travel guide that contains many mistakes and mistranslations. You will need to try and figure out the real meanings of these words and phrases by amending the entries.
Along your journey you will need to communicate with the various locals in their mother-tongue for help and directions through speaking their native language or through gestures and inevitably occasionally offending them, leading to many humorous scenarios such as being chased through the streets by a rather angry goat herdsman.
Bon Voyage!
Inspired by the Dirty Hungarian Phrasebook Monty Python sketch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6D1YI-41ao
You are Scott Baron, a natural historian and explorer who delves to the farthest reaches of the globe to capture specimens, recruited by the British Natural History Museum to document and sample flora and fauna for their research. During one of your escapades you meet a shady and wealthy man called the Collector who wishes to increase the numbers of his own personal menagerie by enlisting your aid. The story would follow the ethical turmoil Scott faces as he gradually discovers the identity of his suspicious contractor and his evil intentions. The game would have a vintage aesthetic, with a sepia tint. As you discover new plants and animals entries will appear and be updated in your journal. The game would feature navigation (a la Firewatch) with both map and compass as well as being able to track animals. You would be armed with a pistol and have materials to lay traps. As you embark on your missions to capture exotic wildlife, you will have to fight against poachers and thieves intending to steal your bounty.

You are the barkeep in a busy pub in the heart of Dublin. The Irish are renowned for their insatiable drinking habits so your business, naturally, is booming. You must slake your customer's thirst by serving them all manner of assorted beverages albeit predominantly large pints of Guinness. For some unbeknownst reason to you that is completely unrelated of course to the fundamental mechanics of the game, you have no employees despite your large consumer base and subsequently must deal with the onslaught of alcoholics on your own. Occasionally there will be particularly inebriated patrons who you must evict from the premises in order to prevent punch-ups which would lower your customer satisfaction. Controls would be simple, intuitive tapping and swiping on the relevant smart device to accommodate for all the casual gamers out there.

You are a Storm Chaser. It is your job to document and capture footage of various natural disasters for scientific purposes and news stations. This game will be in the first person perspective (similar in concept to the popular horror game Outlast), where at any point throughout the game, the player may pull out a video camera to document their findings. Enough suitable footage must be taken to meet the designated brief however you must be wary not to stray too close to the disasters and risk a premature death. The story would follow the life of a young adrenalin seeking woman who has chosen this rather unorthodox lifestyle and is subsequently forced to make a choice between either her career or her family. There would be flashbacks to important and decisive moments in her life that elicit insight into the character's backstory and choices.

In this game you must try to convince your boyfriend to play one of the greatest games of the generation; Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (a PS4 exclusive). Deprived of decent titles to play because he is a traitorous xboner, you must ensure that he finally plays this amazing wondrous game before he goes to work the next day. You will have to slowly tutor him on proper gaming etiquette such as playing the correct way with the analogue sticks and x button in the normal positions on the controller, all the while putting up with his endless complaining and offensive Playstation jokes. You win if you manage to successfully convince him to get through the whole campaign and maybe even lead him to consider leaving the dark side to buy a PS4 with all the cool kids....

Gameplay partially inspired by the Dreamfall series.
Chiaroscuro n - the treatment of light and shade in drawing and painting. An effect of contrasted light and shadow. Lit. Italian loanword meaning Light and Dark.
Set in a world where music and arts are outlawed. The government fear of another Renaissance and so feel that cultural expression is dangerous and promotes free thinking. Another rebellion would instill power to the commoners. For this reason composers and artists are being arrested en masse and locked away in the capital's deepest dungeons. Each prisoner is stamped with a tattoo similar to a barcode that can be scanned to maintain a record. Music and art is now governmental property, reserved for high ranking members of society. Certain rebel groups gather in secret to plot to overthrow corrupt officials and to pray to the Nine Muses.
This is a third-person action adventure game that is largely story-based and as such divided into chapters. You play as a young man named Liszt (his father, now deceased, being a strong rebel loyalist). Player choice will be a dominant feature in this game as the decisions you make will have a powerful impact upon the world.

This game would bear strong similarities with the puzzle-solving game Myst. You would be stuck on an island after having crashed your boat during a particularly violent storm leading you to subsequently seek refuge in a cave. Scrawled upon the cave walls are fluorescent markings which lead you to a secret passage and a room filled with the possessions (including a detailed map) belonging to a previous inhabitant. You must gradually unlock all of the areas of the island in order to uncover its many faceted secrets and to find a way off it. You will also optionally be able to uncover the previous map owner's story through hidden collectible manuscripts detailing their journey that led to them being stranded on the island. There would be a high emphasis on puzzle-solving and exploration with minor platforming. I feel the game would work best in first-person to engage the player in a more meaningful manner.

Its Day 1. You have just been accepted into your dream school but oh no! All the teachers are evil (Who would have guessed?). You must work extremely hard every day to ensure your place in the esteemed college or you will be kicked out on your derrière and its game over. The teachers live off creativity and innovation so every day you must feed them with the latest most interesting and original ideas to sate their hunger. You will need to write up your highly entertaining, AAA idea and throw it into the 'Abyss of Wasted Potential'. The abyss only accepts an idea a day as it has a simple consciousness and thus requires a full 24 hour period to digest your virtuosity. Only by passing through all 50 levels will you reach enlightenment.

It has been nearly 45 years since shooting that epic final scene in the 1972 karate movie "Way of the Dragon" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYHZEu7Y7DU) where Chuck Norris supposedly gets his ass kicked by Bruce Lee (He didn't fyi its just a movie...). The producers have decided it is due for a remake as an homage to classic Martial Arts movies and Chuck and Bruce have a score to settle. You must retake the infamous scene and act it out according to how it SHOULD have been shot i.e. Bruce Lee getting properly mashed. You will play as Chuck Norris by swiping on the touchscreen of your smart device to block, attack and dodge Lee's moves.
You observe the whole spectacle ensue from the perspective of that random little kitten that's sitting on the sidelines for the entire fight.
How the hell do I come up with these ideas

You have just arrived at the biggest gaming expo in the country. You have waited all year for this momentous day. Your cosplay has been perfected right to the last detail.
However, there is one small problem.
Enemies from the game you are cosplaying have randomly started to spawn and blend in with the masses of attendees. You must eradicate all of the enemies before the convention ends by locating and destroying the portal which is letting all of these heinous creatures in.
Along the way you will be able to pick up and use legendary weapons from classic games such as, Cloud's Buster sword and the Master Sword. You will also need to collect the limited edition comics scattered around the convention floors which will enable you with power-ups based on the characters special abilities in the comic.

This game would be a mash-up between the game 'Oh...Sir!' And 'Nidhogg' similar to Monkey Island's form of insult sword fighting. The game would be a 2.5D fencing game. The twist is that while you are playing you must simultaneously insult your opponent using the most inventive and absurd profanities you can possibly think of. Successful strikes and parries will reward the player with points, likewise with the number of insults exclaimed (extra for creativity). If a player wins the most out of the three successive rounds and/or receives the most points for technique and style then they will gain a token. Tokens can be redeemed for elite weaponry, armour, skins and new environments. There would be a section where you would be able to customise your game to have more flexibility in the number of rounds, players etc.
En garde.

What happens when a god defies orders?
How can an immortal being be punished?
The War god Ares has disobeyed the orders of Zeus. His atonement is to be temporarily stripped of his powers and to serve under the King of Thrace until he has redeemed himself. You will play as Ares who is being punished for disobeying his father, Zeus. You will need to embark on a series of quests to redeem yourself and reclaim your throne on Mt Olympus.
The game would be an open-world, sandbox game. As you complete the King's tasks you will gradually regain your powers, making you stronger in combat. The game would be a mix of combat, puzzle-solving and exploration. Optional side quests would make for a string of pearls model. You would fight against traditional monsters from Greek mythology such as Hydra, Chimera, the Fates etc. Traditional weapons and armour for the period would be used to remain authentic.
(Important bits will be blurred out...)
Have you ever dreamed of going to the Rugby World Cup and getting to meet all of the famous rugby players in person? The aim of the game, is to cross from one side of the field through the goalposts to the other end, while dodging the various security guards and rugby players trying to tackle you and throw you out. Levels will start you off in rural club matches and you will gradually make your way up to stadium games. You receive bonus points for each dodge, the amount of chaos caused and the longer you spend on the field the more points you will earn. There is an element of risk involved as you can get to the other end of the field and finish the level or risk staying on the field to earn a higher score. Levels will become progressively harder as you go to stadium matches where the rugby players are more skilled so will have a smarter AI.

Piston is set in a Steampunk-esque world called Reparo. You play as a young man named Lukas who sells and repairs automatons to make his living. In Reparo there is a frequently populated, illegal underground fighting ring for combat-walkers (large mech suits) in conjunction with a large betting syndicate which can earn its combatants a fair wage. Piston is a third-person game (get rekt nick) which follows the journey of Lukas who gets himself involved in the fighting pits repairing combat-walkers and has to earn his freedom by creating his own walker to defeat his opponents. You will have to scavenge for parts in the Wilderness to improve your machines and collect blueprints which will allow you to create legendary weapons and rare armour. There will be side quests such as bounty hunting monsters for the residents of Reparo. You will also be able to craft various objects and imbue your equipment.

This game would also act as an educational tool.
Spellbound is heavily inspired by the game Epistory which is a mix of typing and RPG. The player traverses around an origami-like environment that unfolds as you progress. Players must type words to defeat enemies and solve puzzles. In Spellbound however you would use this as an aid to learn your target language. For example, to pick up an object in Spanish such as a lamp, you would have to type the Spanish equivalent of that word. Items and monsters encountered would be added to a guide/dictionary. Players would be able to choose and switch between a variety of languages. After defeating a certain number of enemies to level up you would gain a skill point. These can be invested into your character to unlock certain abilities such as more powerful attacks, speed increases, cosmetics etc. Each level would be preceded with tutorial sequences to allow you to learn new words as you play.
