It's said that when you butcher a lamb, if it sees the knife coming it panics, and the panic taints the flavor of its flesh, spoiling it. So it is with people, as you discovered. Only it tainted much more than that.

Growing up in an orphanage discreetly purposed for the raising of human cattle. You saw the knife coming, they saw you see the knife coming, and you remember their words; "Be careful, or the meat will spoil!" It was time to run and you did, they weren't prepared for an escapee because nobody ever ran before, nobody saw the knife coming but you. Now you're back and this time you're prepared, and so are they.

Use your knowledge of your home and your past as guidance, presented to the player in a short film that represents your life up until the present. You will use your memories of quotes and sounds to determine where your enemies are in complete darkness as you move through the first home you remember, looking to slaughter those who tried to do the same to you. The game is based around memory and rhythm, you will hear quotes from your caretakers as you remember their words, and hopefully remember how they tried to stop you the first time. When you remember their words they will attack you from the shadows to the rhythm of music. Reacting in complete darkness, you will time parries and other counters with the knife you took all those years ago, as you try to find the best way to return it to them.

Features:

  • A rhythm based horror action game.
  • relies heavily on players recollection of the characters past to beat the present.
  • played with almost no visibility, forcing the player to rely on sound to survive.

Incognito is a horror game that pretends to be anything but a horror game. The intention of the game is to completely catch players off guard by only advertising half of what the game is with no official advertising material alluding to the games true nature.

In incognito, players participate in an upbeat battle racing game where they can pick up items on a track to throw at opposing players in a variety of environments that unlock as the player progresses through the game. Eventually, in a time ranging from minutes to hours the player will hear feint breathing that will gradually increase over time. Eventually everything on the track will freeze and the environment will warp until the breathing is all you can hear. After a loud pained screech the player will be thrown from their kart and forced to run to safety from the figure pursuing them. If they do not reach safety they will see their face ripped off as the games process is forced to shut down and the games data wiped afterwards. The players objective is to beat the entire game by completing all the races, unlocking all the content without getting mutilated. The games objective is to catch unsuspecting players completely off guard in a way that is shocking and deliberately inspires controversy to promote word of the game primarily through online interactions.

Features:

  • An elaborate facade that twists genres and people.
  • An elaborate marketing campaign based on catching consumers off guard.
  • A racing game that involves both driving and running.

Feline Fury is a co-operative horror game designed to be played with your cat. The human player can play with any peripheral of their choice, allowing them to run around the room and avoid enemies, whilst the cat hits the enemies on an iPad to eliminate them.

The human player plays the game in first person, avoiding large insect like creatures in a horror environment. The cat however, will see things from above in a more upbeat simplistic environment with a focus on vibrant enemies and distinct sounds, this is to motivate the cat to hit enemies as they come on screen. When the cat hits an enemy, it gets crushed gruesomely in the first person view, removing the threat from attacking the human player. If the insects catch the human player, both the cat and the human player lose the game. The objective is to survive as long as possible.

Features:

  • Asymmetrical multiplayer where your domesticated animal of choice is your only friend.
  • Rely on the skill of your pet to survive.
  • Cross platform play between the PC and select tablet devices.

Walls are of the Enemy is a rhythm action/psychological game about a man declared legally insane breaking the walls of his padded cell within his mind. He sees the psyche ward and the people in it as oppressors that he can only overcome with murder, but the walls are closing in as he is restrained in the real world. This is a game about fighting those restraints in the mind of a madman.

In your head you must break free of your cell. The walls are closing in around you in a large city, the horizon line is made up of white pads, and if they get too close they will crush you, you will be wiped clean, you will be trapped forever as a shell of your former self. With your hands, beat the walls back to where they came from, driving acceptance and inevitability out of your mind and remaining as yourself for as long as possible. But everyone is in your way, they always have been, and even though they always seem to run they are still obstacles you will have to overcome. Fight off the world for as long as you can to the rhythm of the music that has always resounded in your head detailing the world and all of its actions, use the timing to beat back everyone, retain your (in)sanity.

Features:

  • Play from the perspective of someones imagination as they fight off treatment and medication for their insanity through an endless psychological battle.
  • Use the rhythm of the beat to determine when and how your character will strike and act accordingly for maximum effectiveness.
  • The wall is your oppressor, save the world you know by pushing back four simultaneously closing in walls one at a time, timing when to move between areas of a large realistic city filled with people, and watch them destroy fragments of yourself as they come closer, crushing people and buildings alike, wiping the slate of your memories into the debris of shattered places.
  • Save them from themselves by violently moving people out of your way by any physical means within your capability, if your world dies they will die with it, save everyone by endangering anyone.
  • Maybe one day the wall will break. If you can outlast it.

Bipolarize is a side-scrolling horror/platformer in which you utilize your deaths as a tool for progression. The game plays in a world where life and death are two parallel states of existence occurring at the same time, and you as the player can pass between them. The player will find enemies, traps and obstacles that can be surpassed through a combination of traditional platforming precision and skill combined with the idea of intentionally dying and resurrecting.

When the player is alive, they will move as you would expect with the influence of gravity and with general human capabilities. When the player dies they become a spirit which can move much more freely with complete air control. Entering the death state means that the level will progress at the same rate but with different challenges adapted to the state of existence. The player can resurrect at any time by smashing through the ground (which is now above them) which will allow the player to bypass extremely difficult obstacles from when they were alive. Unlike the players living state, death becomes permanent if the player dies again in the death state. Ethereal creatures will eat the light around the player obscuring their vision, and if the light weakens too much the creatures will rip the player apart and break their spirit. This light within the state of death and the states initial calmness can be regenerated by spending an adequate amount of time alive. This means that flickering too rapidly between living and dead states can leave you trapped in a dark realm where you will be consumed.

Features:

  • A platformer that allows you to use death to your advantage.
  • Navigate between states of existence to progress through levels in the way that you prefer.
  • Combines traditional skill based platformers with alternative approaches that come with their own unique challenges.
  • A beautiful primarily black and white aesthetic combined with otherworldly gruesomeness.
