Continued with my heist-story. Getting more and more unsure like I always do when a story of mine continues. Maybe I can beat it this time.
The thief stepped off the mans chest and looked around. No motion whatsoever. From his research during these last few days he knew there were no other guards in the garden, so he didn't make the effort of hiding the body. However he also knew that eventually someone would recognize the missing light so he had to hurry.Running up a flight of steps made of the same stone as the rest of the way, he arrived at the front of the house. Using a guard in the garden, the houses owner hadn't deemed it necessary to install motion detectors. The thief stood in front of a wooden door with windows in it. From checking the payroll of his target he knew of one more guard, which was probably placed inside the house. The lights inside the flat were out nonetheless. Chances were the other guard was wearing night vision goggles, which would make his approach more difficult. The thieves flat backpack had a zipper on one side, which he now opened and pulled out a glass cutter. While he had scouted the estate he couldn't find any electronic safety measures. Maybe his victim was simply old-fashioned. If he was lucky. "Just like in the movies." he thought while he cut a disk of glass out of the doors window. His gloved hand reached inside and opened the door.
