Done with the knitting! Only finishing left

Made some yarn today. It keeps breaking on a certain color, which is annoying!

I spent the whole day exploring La Croix-Rousse in Lyon and learning loads about the canuts and silk weaving. I threw together some notes from memory so I'll have the material to write one or several solid articles about all this! Enjoy loose Frenglish notes.

Mapping from a grayscale gradient to colors. Mostly framework for future experiments, nothing too exciting to see right now, I just re-figured out an old BF4 trick. http://sandbox.lia-sae.net/p5js/GradientMapping/

Finished yet another pair of Pluviose

Made a bit of yarn. No picture 'cause the spindle is already in the suitcase

Started drafting a Unity prototype for a fiber workshop game thingie.

Cast on Nymphalidea again on the shiny new needles

8/27 wedges done. Not much progress today

Still growing, reached half width. Knitted two sections, had to undo 1.5 to find a missing k2tog, re-knitted 3 sections. Meh!

Very good tapestry weaving progress. Finished the slit for the ribbon, the metallics section, and made tremendous progress on the last section. Experiments: curves, and HV-teknik for the colors in the white-blended area

Cleaned a paper sketch, refined the value study and made the two first passes on colors.

Class today, made good progress again. Knots are fun, if time-consuming

More progress, more fluffing. Starting to close the circles

90/138 stitches wide, getting messy to photograph

Busy day but still made one more section

7 repeats left. Hope I have enough yarn

Not happy with the previous one, so working on a new one. It needs more work but it's getting there!

More progress. There's still a bit to fix and I'm having trouble isolating the colors, but I should see what threads I have on hand before doing too much anyway.

Added ~36 rows to mitten 2/2 of the final set of mittens I'm making from the Pluviôse pattern. Would have finished it but was sick most of the day
