i think another thing about the process i use, if im gonna keep trying to analyse the process i use... is its more about whats easy for whatever medium im doing. it might not be obvious unless uve looked at my drawings. but i typically start every drawing on the page with one pretty similar line. a lot of the time its one continuous line then i draw without lifting from the page and it folds back on itself. and then i add one more line after that, then maybe one more line and maybe another line. so if i use a paint marker id use a different process... i havent drawn much with paint markers, but id draw a typical lump and then id repeat this lump for every drawing and draw off of that. something like this. i just do whatevers easiest for the medium im working in. for pen lines this has, i would say, got to a level where im drawing quite intricate single lines, maybe. and it all starts from that same place of starting at whatevers easiest to achieve in a medium. this Peter Draws 10 minute dialogue talks about this process of "LETTING THE MEDIUM DICTATE THE FORMS", is the way id put it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0P-Drs5OPRo&t=326s in longer from.
anyway u can see it even in the scribblier things i draw, even the scribblier things i draw, its the same hand motion repeated over and over again, u can see that in the 4 or 5 scribblier drawings on the page below. but i generally advise against analysing process like im doing now. my process is working, for me, i dont know what i achieve out of analysing it. the more i talk about it, the more i realise it doesnt matter what i say about it, caus i just keep making it so its not much point. but and but, i just make 'abstract' i guess is the label. if i had to stop and think "OK I WAN T A LINE HERE, AND A LINE HERE", and I WANT IT TO LOOK EXACLTY LIKE THIS AND IN THIS WAY. i mean i just dont do that. it sounds cool, id like to eventually start practicing that, even. but i just try and draw some new lines... see what it looks like. that will even so instantly make me think of a new combo of lines to try and draw. so theres really no, or very little, thought involved in the process i use atm
