The 20-foot tall redwood people of the area around California and the surrounding deserts have mixed views on foreigners. There are the clock people to the North, who the Redwoods have friendly relations with and admire. There are the ever-expanding fire people and eyeball people, collectively known as Intyans, to the East, who the desert Redwoods admire for their ability to survive, but the forest Redwoods are suspicious of. The Ceramans to the far south in southern Mexico and nearly all of South America are not well-known, but are generally held in suspicion due to the fact that they have pottery for heads, which is very bizarre to the Redwoods.
