Appetite

Appetite is a game where the player must throw food into a monster's mouth in order to satisfy his seemingly never ending hunger.

The player will be given a conveyor belt of food and the player will have to throw select items of food into the monster's mouth. The monster will react poorly if you throw the wrong food into his mouth, or if you fail to throw enough food.
As the game progresses there will be the introduction of more monsters with different appetites, therefore making the player have to balance each monster's hunger without sacrificing any of them.
If the player upsets a monster three times within each level, the monster will get upset and destroy the city the player lives in. This will mean that the player will have to start the level over again.
The game will have very simplistic controls, only flicking the items off of the conveyor belt into the monster's mouth.

Target Audience:
Mobile gamers who want a unique but simple gaming experience that will gradually become more difficult.

Platform:
Mobile

This game is inspired by the Artifact universe written by my friend(who gave me the okay for this idea). The story is focused on three factions in the artifact universe, the paramilitary police group Prometheus, the cult of the Rising hand, and the corporate private military specialist working for Fountain . Players play as fighters in different factions in both PVE and PVP matches. In PVE matches players are sent on co-op or solo missions to secure artifacts for their respective factions, with different factions having their own unique kinds of missions. Which helps players get different artifact gear which they can use on missions. Artifacts give the user the power to summon elements to help them in fights, whether it be to summon walls of hardened crystal to block bullets or create fire to burn them.
In PVP missions are team based with players choosing a faction to fight for Rising hand may have missions to take hostages and assassinate key political figures while Prometheus may have missions to protect hostages and Fountain will have different goals. Players must use their artifacts guns and equipment to get the objective and win the game.

This will be a real-time strategy game where the two warring factions have their stronghold floating on opposite sides of a gas giant. The disk made of cloud-like rings surrounding the gas giant will function as a 2D plane which will serve as the field of battle. This is because the fighter craft are skimmers which must fly through the top layer of the rings for propulsion. They are also able to travel through the rings to the opposite side of the cloud-disk, but they are solar powered, and this area is devoid of direct sunlight. Lack of solar power will make the time that any craft can spend under the disk very limited, and they will have to resurface to regain energy. Exploiting this ability to dive under the disk will be vital in order to launch surprise attacks, retreat from battles, and to see the surprise attacks of the opponent coming. The rings of the disk will also rotate at different speeds clockwise or anti-clockwise, allowing skimmers to use them to boost their own speed to mount rapid fierce attacks. These mechanics give the game a strong focus on micromanaging small squadrons of skimmers instead of amassing a large army and having it simply clash straight against the opposing force. Maintaining territory across the ring will also provide more resources to build skimmers and upgrades, by establishing outposts on small moons embedded in the disk. The gas giant in the middle of the disk will be impassable terrain for skimmers, as they are not equipped to escape its gravity once they get caught in its atmosphere.

So need to fit that piano into your newapartment but the doorway is too small? Or you need to hang up that signage but it's to tall for a ladder too short for a crane? Or Maybe you just want a trip to Hawaii (in your half hour lunch break). Well it's a great time to be alive because you've just created a new piggy hybrid that can not only fly but solve the world's problems and make dreams come true. Naturally this is a very lucrative business and you deploy your piggy helpers to the distressed citizens of the world in matching their magical abilities to the situation. Some pigs can change the size of objects, others teleport, shapeshifter, time travel, have incredible diplomatic skills and of course all fly. You have one of each pig type under your command, Identify the best pig agent for the situation and hope they get back in time for the next call. Score is based on how many situations you solve before failing three in a row. Optionally you can spend multiple pigs to one call out but beware as you'll have a constant stream of jobs flooding in.

In this game, you play as a puppy, that has a recent addition to their family. Unfortunately for you and the baby, the parents are fairly absent minded and often leave the baby unattended, sometimes in danger. This means you, being the only sane mind in the household, have to protect this baby from harm, while also keeping your intelligence hidden from your owners.

The game will be in third person, and you will follow the path of a baby through a house, backyard and street as the baby wanders with curiosity through its new world. You must follow the baby, and try and determine which path it is going to take and clear up the way ahead of it, but only when not in the view of the parents. The player will often spend too much time diffusing traps and dangers, and not pay attention to the direction the baby is moving and not realise the path has completely changed. The player can use a bark that, within a cooldown time will halt the baby, giving you it's full attention for a few seconds, biding your time to adjust for the new path.

Overview:

Crystal Garden is a peaceful and calming mobile game. The basis of the game is that you plant, grow and tend to various magical crystals. You are presented with an interactive magical garden filled with bioluminescent bugs and flowers. To plant a crystal, you find a place to plant it then tap the screen to dig a hole. You then select the crystal salts you wish to grow from your inventory and plant it in the ground. Each initial salt produces a randomly generated crystal growth, and once it has grown you can harvest it to grown other variations of that type of crystal. The crystals grow in real time, taking up to a few hours to fully form. This means that you can leave a recently planted crystal overnight and wake up to a beautiful crystal structure. You tend to the garden by watering the crystals and feeding them magical substances. Each crystal has a different magical property depending on what you do to it while it is growing. You can also unlock different environments such as crystal caves or magical springs. There is no real end to this game as it is something calming to do when you need to relax.

In this Virtual Reality, high intensity game, you will start off immediately in an arena with a crowd of crazed people and a coach with both his hands on either of your shoulders, unsuccessfully shouting over the enormous, raging crowd. Your coach slaps your face a couple times before storming off, leaving you with just 2 people left in the arena. You and your opponent. Your enemy. At this point, you will find yourself jumping up and down, and shouting, to pump yourself up, unbeknownst to if there are actually people around you and that you are playing a game. The crowd roars in response. As you walk to the centre of the arena, full of adrenaline, you may walk into walls, but you don't care. All you want is that trophy prize you have been training for, for years.

Once you and your opponent meet at the centre of the arena, a glass panel will slowly drop down, separating you two. This glass panel will have a contraption which will place a single drop of water on both sides of the glass. The player to get the first drop to reach the floor will win. Your best method to approaching this situation is to blow onto the drop in order to get the drop to go down. The drop will be heavy enough to fall on it's own but it won't be enough.

Good luck. You are going to need it against the best.

Protect and Serve is a military style first person game in which the player, instead of playing as the war hero, plays as a medic in field hospitals and on the field in the Middle East.

The game aims to reveal the true nature of war as the heroes of war and men and woman behind the action we see in conventional games and movies are reduced to screams and tremendous injuries. The game aims to tell a more realistic narrative, where in each mission, the player is faced with trying to mend and save the lives of marines and military personal that will be introduced in a way that makes them relatable and encourage a relationship between the player and the characters. There would be cool down segments to get to know the characters, set pieces, and a variety of missions in different environments.

Each character will be able to be saved and be able to be killed, based on how the player performs, encouraging a realistic urgency. Further, it adds an element of responsibility for each character within the game, replicating how a real field medic would be responsible for the lives of his or her squad and fellow military personnel.

This game would bear strong similarities with the puzzle-solving game Myst. You would be stuck on an island after having crashed your boat during a particularly violent storm leading you to subsequently seek refuge in a cave. Scrawled upon the cave walls are fluorescent markings which lead you to a secret passage and a room filled with the possessions (including a detailed map) belonging to a previous inhabitant. You must gradually unlock all of the areas of the island in order to uncover its many faceted secrets and to find a way off it. You will also optionally be able to uncover the previous map owner's story through hidden collectible manuscripts detailing their journey that led to them being stranded on the island. There would be a high emphasis on puzzle-solving and exploration with minor platforming. I feel the game would work best in first-person to engage the player in a more meaningful manner.

One Game a Day #31.pdf196kb

Stickman Fight is a 3D stickman fighting game with high-quality stickman graphics. In this game, the stickman will work as a rag-doll for physics simulation. Every stickman will have high-quality 4k texture for its model. Since it's a stickman game, the system provides simple combo based control and allows the player to make and customize their own stickman.

Stickman Fight has 7 keys to control the character. 4 directional keys and 3 action keys. The 3 action keys are the attack, jump and block. They player can execute combo and special attacks with a combination of keypresses:

A: attack J: jump B: block

B > direction > A: special attack 1

B > direction > J: special attack 2

B > J > A: ultimate attack

If the player is in air, they'll activate different attack and effects compare to when they are on the ground. Ultimate attack can only be used when the player has less than half heal

The player can customize their character by changing the textures.

rage, it builds inside all of us. we see the forthcoming goals approaching us and in a blink of the eye the goal you've strived for is gone, into the depths of the holes in the soft yet sturdy mahogany grain. your weapon of choice, the wooden mallet made from the wood of some mass produced children entertainment company, in all its glory you must annihilate your foes with their soulless beads for eyes.

this is a small app for ios platforms where you're sick of the whackamole game you've been playing for hours (game inside a game GAMECEPTION OOOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!) and now you're done, you've snapped you fire your majestic wooden weapon into the sky as hard as you can. you need to guide the mallet as close as you can to the middle of the whackamole machine with nothing but an arrow indicator to show you its placement (you have a static screen)

simple right? just make sure the arrow showing you where the mallet will fall lands in the middle? NO you must fight the wind movement thats changing every few seconds, but you also dont know how far away the mallet is or how fast its falling, you have no idea when it will hit the machine all you know is aprox where it will land. oh yea and the goal is to hit as many moles as you can - the mechanics of not knowing key attributes.

Asymmetric multiplayer puzzle platformer

A game for two players.

Features collaborative asymmetric gameplay. Both players have the same ultimate goal but individual short term goals.

One person plays as a character with simple platforming abilities (jump, wall jump e.c.t). Their goal is to navigate each level, avoiding dangerous obstacles, enemies and pits. They would need platforming skills predominantly.

The other person would play as a poltergeist type character. They would be able to fly around the level and be unaffected by enemies and danger. They would, however be able to interact with the environmental aspects of the level. They could move blocks, cover up deadly spikes, trap enemies e.c.t. They would treat each level like a puzzle, setting up the environment so that the platforming character would be able to navigate it (this would be impossible with the initial setup of each level). They would need puzzle solving skills as well as an understanding of the limitations and abilities of the platformer. Their ultimate goal would be getting the platformer to the end of each level.

For more difficult levels, the puzzler would need to solve levels quickly as the screen would auto scroll to the right. If the platformer was caught out by the edge of the screen they would die and both players would fail.

You're a rock and roll up and comer on the Sunset Strip in the late 80's. You're a pretty big shot around town and you know it; you sell out clubs when you play and there's almost always a space for you when you're not, no matter what time you get there. So what are you going to do in a club where you pay the tab when you get on stage? Get loaded like a freight train, fly as an aeroplane so that feel like a space brain, that's what! Just don't fall off the stage while you perform, because if you can't bring in the customers your tab may be mysteriously reopened.

You have fifteen minutes before you perform your gig for the night. Drink as much as you can and get as high as you can without blacking out before or during your set, which is played like a rhythm game. The more out of it you are, the higher your score multiplier and the more infamous you'll become on the Sunset Strip, but you'll also find it easier to and harder to come back from a mistake while you play if you're off your rocker.

Moon gladiatorial battle arena, gravity is lower than earths obviously and this effects everything, projectiles can curve upwards or they tumble and move randomly, characters can charge but wont stop until they hit a wall, but the player may tap a button to try and skid to a halt. Weapons float and swing around the battlefield, so players can shoot them into other players or deflect weapons into others, or swap on the fly and also means players can carry much larger heavy powered weapons

Future where battles of old are recreated in new ways and televised, and with new technology the weapon range is wider, audiences can watch from earth and there is no risk for the combatants as they can be revived in the combat, they enter pods at the start of the battle and are cloned with their consciousness in the new body, if the body is destroyed they have their consciousness placed in another clone. Word is there is also illegal battles where the combatants are not cloned... story could follow a gladiator who gets pulled into the death games

A top down game where players play as a mailman and the objective of the game is to deliver packages to different locations. The player gets paid if a successful package is delivered and the amount depends on how quick their package arrived and the state of the package. I the player hit's too many obstacles on the road the quality of their package goes down and they will get paid less. The player can use this money to buy things that will help them deliver future packages more efficiently. Eg (Van, truck, motorcycle). Once unlocked, the player can choose which vehicle to take to deliver their current package. Unlocking more vehicles will mean that the player will be able to deliver a wider variety of packages that can get them paid more. There is no end and the player just plays for as lock as he/she likes.

In Treblechet you play as Commander Maestro who commands an elite army of musically powered trebuchets, referred to as Treblechets, and uses their sonic force to destroy enemy fortifications in his conquest for the King.

The player controls four aspects within the game: The strength a treblechet fires, the angle at which it fires, how many treblechets are firing and the musical note each treblechet is aligned and tuned to. Different notes affect different types of enemy structures and fortifications in the game, some being weaker or stronger to different notes. A few especially strong fortifications require a series of attuned soundwaves fired from these treblechets to break them down, which requires the player to utilize more of them.

Treblechet plays similarly to other 2D physics based tower destruction games, like Angry Birds (ew) but has this notion of note and sound to add further complexity to the game, challenging the players to destroy towers with as few treblechets required for a higher score.

Sky Diving is a VR experience where you can look through the eyes of a digital sky dive. The game is easily played and has minimal controls, only using the HTC Vive controllers to guide your descent. Sky Diving will have digital graphics rather than being real life.

The really is no main mechanic, because the game is more of a cinematic experience rather than a gaming experience. The game starts off when you take off in the plane, and you get to stare around the plane and outside at the surroundings while you reach the requires height for a sky dive. Once you reach the height you are guided to the door, and then you jump.

The graphics will be the over saturated, lighting effect heavy style that a lot of story and cinematic driven games take on, as it would possibly be the best style to capture a beautiful cinematic experience, and also have calming music that enhances the experience.

Toast Chef is a first person vr game played with the HTC Vive. In Toast Chef the player plays as a chef who runs their own toast restaurant. The aim of the game is to become a successful chef, by serving the customers exactly what they wanted. When the player starts the game they will start with a very unreliable toaster that isn't consistent at toasting the bread the same each time. The player has a very small area to work in with a toaster, bread rack, dishwasher, computer and delivery hatch. The player will receive orders from the customers, these orders consist of what type of bread they want such as white, whole grain and wheat etc, how browned they want the toast and what spread(s) they want on it. The player will have to choose the correct bread, place it in the toaster, toast it exactly the right amount, and then apply the correct spread(s) and send it off on a plate to the customer. The player will have to clean dirty dishes and knives in the dishwasher, and order more bread and spreads from the computer when they run out. The player can also buy better toasters that cook the bread more evenly and can toast more bread at a time. All orders are received through the delivery hatch. The game will have paid DLC, including more levels and more ingredient types such as french toast, bacon and egg on toast, cheese on toast etc. These levels will be played in a different kitchen that also includes a stove, to cook the egg and bacon etc.
