Another late dub track. Simple affair really - doesn't go anywhere really. More a test of layering plates and delays but happened to be one i managed to finish. Not really proud of it though because its hackneyed musically. To be honest...with more time i'd have done some very much deeper and darker. I still might.

A really upbeat dance song made with my latest gear thingy, the Synthstrom Deluge.

All of the sounds and arrangement is done with that single box.

I haven't fully figured it out, so the sound design is not exactly ear-popping, but I was able to compose and arrange the entire thing using that box (with some EQ and Limiting post-processing in software after recording).

Considering that I got the Deluge a week ago, being able to compose something using only that piece of gear is actually pretty amazing for me.

BTW, as I mentioned last week, I released an improvisational album at http://irwink.bandcamp.com. If you like listening to the Eurorack jams that I post here check it out.

A week with a lot going on, so here's an all-in-the-box track with five instruments: all of them FM synth Ableton Operator. There's a drum kit, two bass lines (triangle and filtered sawtooth) and two sine-like voices--one for a staccato voice, and one for a pad/drone. There's some auto-pan and Full-Chain master, and an Echo send, but that's it.

Title from the gold target used in the production of this week's element, Mendelevium.

this went in an entirely different direction than I planned, but who am I to argue with the music..

it was supposed to be a sort of discount daft punk bit, but ended up being a weird glitch + "chiptune" piece.

I'm not super excited about this one, but it was fun to make.

I'm also having feelings about hitting week 49 =(

Love autumn and winter, plus I've been listening to a lot of stuff on the 12k label at work, and I'd been wanting to do something a little more free-form and live than previously. Really like this if I'm being honest.

This started off as a Volca Sample jam where I just layered 4 different kicks...

... this ended up as me trying to mix the damn kicks and bass so that all of this thing does not choke on itself.
