Get's let this week started by arpeggiator wankery. I finished yesterday's jam into a sort of sci-fi synthesizer trip.

VCV Rack, Korg MS2000R, Ableton Live.

Trying to improve my dub sound to with aims of getting it nicely gritty.

Something a bit different, a bit slower, can kind of imagine some new wave vocal line over the top of it.

So this is what I was able to write while also at a bachelor party. Guess I was feeling really chill!

i really wasn't feeling it this week and then actually ended up having a lot of fun. i need to drastically fix the mix on this, but i really like the outcome overall

A very busy week, including beginning prep for my upcoming performance in Chicago, so I've had my head in Max/MSP (particularly developing performance interfaces I can use on the iPad with Cycling74's Mira). So it was fairly natural to do some improvs with the input shifter patch, and this is one of them. Max/MSP -> file, Ableton Live for tweaking levels and compression, and adding a bit of convolution reverb to the mix. (And it's a rehearsal opportunity.)

Title from one of the uses of this week's element hafnium--as the electrode in plasma cutting.

In the middle of moving my production stuff over so here's a 4-channel Protracker module I made recently.

Pretty happy with this ambient-type thing. Lead line could do with some polishing, but that'll have to wait, away for the next week or so.

Blofeld on main pads, Medusa on more pads, PreenFM2 on the twinkly arp, PO32 for the drums, Wavestation and Nord Rack for the piano parts.

Might come back to this, I think it has some potential.
