Dark and errie Ambient track this week with Neutron on lead and sound effect duties. Hive and Serum play chords. Heavy reverbs to finish.

Finding it very difficult to catch up with my subs, almost no time for music stuff. This is pretty rough, really just a bunch of layered synth parts.

Getting to grips with the Medusa now though, the modulation matrix is particularly excellent, this uses one of the LFOs to modulate the shape of another LFO which is modulating the filter cutoff. LFOception!

Techno jam, just one take today. Time to go to workkkk....

Did this in one hour. PAX was long. I'll do better next week.

wooo 25 minutes to spare! this week was hectic and any creative time i had went to my silly concept album. however, i have rediscovered the world of free VST plugins (things were a lot more bleak many moons ago when I was more active) so that helped when i finally managed to sit down an hour ago and force something out. beat, pad and strings in fruityloops, live stuff and arrangement / dressing in ableton

shoutout to some of my new favorite plugs, CamelCrush and Hysterisis

Noting that (musician) Scott Walker passed this week, I had The Drift in mind, and thought I'd let his influence percolate. I tracked ring-modulated Puremagnetik grand piano, ring-modulated electric piano, and Ableton's 64-pad jazz drum kit without an obvious clock at first, playing intuitively. I did a similar pass with ring-modulated Res-o-Glas guitar--not paying attention to other tracks. Then I put down more regular drum patterns and Saturday night tracked bass (ring-modulated for tremolo, and audio-range ring-modulated on another part), and then a little sends-only percussion. Sends: two convolution reverbs. Auto-pan on most things, though I should have auto-panned the one alternate bass track. (Too late now.)

Title from the use of this week's element terbium in the SoundBug transducer--it turns any flat surface into a speaker, apparently.

That didn't come easy, but in the end I think there are parts in it that spark something. Wish I had more time to mix and mess around.

Titled as such simply because it was finalised on 29th March 2019, the day the UK was originally going to leave the EU. No politics here though.
